The Thunderhawk Gunship was a development of the later Great Crusade, designed to operate in atmosphere and void space as a flexible flying craft. It combines the roles of orbital troop lander, heavy gunship, and medium bomber, and is a highly successful addition to the fleets of the Legiones Astartes, scouring landing zones with its array of heavy weaponry before delivering a payload of Space Marine infantry onto the battlefield. The Thunderhawk is an icon of Astartes power in the air. This multipart resin kit builds one Legion Thunderhawk Gunship, a legendary aircraft for your Legiones Astartes armies in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, or your Space Marine armies in games of Warhammer 40,000. Its highly detailed fuselage and wings feature intakes, exhausts, retrothrusters, and air brakes, as well as a cockpit through which two Space Marine pilots are visible. The front transport ramp, air brake, and attack wings with mounted twin heavy bolters can be assembled without glue, allowing you to adjust their positioning or expose the gunship's detailed internals as you see fit. This gunship also sports a total of four twin heavy bolters and two lascannon, plus six wing-mounted hellstrike missiles and a looming dorsal turbo-laser destructor. This miniature has no Legion-specific markings, so you can use it in any Legiones Astartes force, whether you're loyal to the Emperor or have joined Horus in his rebellion. This kit comprises 112 resin components. This miniature requires assembly and is supplied unpainted – we recommend using Citadel Colour paints.
