The Sokar Stormbird is a dedicated attack lander, developed during the Unification Wars on Ancient Terra and adapted by the Emperor for Legion use. It was conceived as a specialised, high-durability orbital assault craft – almost a mobile bastion and firebase – which could land a Space Marine strike force and withstand heavy ground fire while its passengers forced a landing zone. The Ultimate in Aerial Support This multipart resin kit builds one Sokar Stormbird, an airborne transport and weapons platform for your Legiones Astartes armies in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. This colossal attack lander can transport dozens of infantry, Contemptor Dreadnoughts, and even a Rhino right into the heart of the enemy. Thanks to its thick armour and void shields, it can swoop through even the thickest of enemy anti-aircraft fire while returning in kind with hull, wing, and turret-mounted weaponry. Stormbird Style This impressive centrepiece miniature measures over 500mm from nose to tail. It features components, including its turrets and transport doors, which can be assembled gluelessly, allowing you to adjust their position or expose the Stormbird's extensively detailed interior as you choose. The kit features 2 pilots, 4 gunners, and landing gear that can be built retracted or extended. After dropping off your deadly cargo, you can support your army with 6 hellstrike missiles, a hull-mounted twin heavy bolter, 2 wing-mounted twin heavy bolters, and 4 turrets, each with either a twin heavy bolter or a twin lascannon. Anything that survives that will be easy prey for all of those Space Marines you just dropped off. This miniature has no Legion-specific markings, so you can use it in any Legiones Astartes force, whether you're loyal to the Emperor or have joined Horus in his rebellion.
