Decurions are specialists within the Legiones Astartes, warriors distinguished by their skill at fighting aboard armoured vehicles. As the Horus Heresy changed the Sons of Horus and their Primarch, the Legion adopted many new practices and tactics. The Lanius was one such adaptation, a cruelly practical approach to morale on the battlefield and a reminder of the bloody price to be paid for failing the Warmaster. This multipart resin kit allows you to upgrade a variety of vehicles with a Decurion Lanius – a tank gunner tasked with upholding discipline in your Sons of Horus armies in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. The Decurion Lanius mans a banestrike bolt cannon, which replaces any normal pintle-mounted weapon and fires ammo designed to pierce power armour. He holds aloft a banner bearing the iconography of his Legion, and his power armour sports similar decorations. He can be assembled with either a helmet topped by a spiked crest or a bare head. This upgrade kit comprises 9 resin components and is designed to be used with the Sicaran Battle Tank, Deimos Pattern Predator Battle Tank, Deimos Pattern Predator Support Tank, or Kratos Heavy Assault Tank kits, all available separately. These components require assembly and are supplied unpainted – we recommend using Citadel Colour paints. This resin modelling kit is not a toy – it is a collectable item and construction should only be undertaken by expert Warhammer hobbyists aged 15 years and over.
